Renting a Villa in Cabo San LucasNEW by: Laura Ramirez
If you are looking for a Cabo San Lucas vacation rental, one of your prime considerations should be in which area to stay. After all, it's all about location, location, location because this determines your proximity to the things you want to do.
Since Medano Beach is the most popular, swimmable beach in Cabo and is central to all the action, this is a good place to stay. However, it can be a bit noisy if you are located right on the beach, especially during the height of the tourist season.
Any villa or timeshare within walking distance of the beach will also be close to downtown where all the shopping, nightclubs and restaurants are located. Stay clear of any properties located in San Jose del Cabo or The Corridor because these will be farther from all the activities you want to participate in. Taxis in Cabo San Lucas are not cheap.
The Pedregal is in an older, more upscale part of town and is within walking distance of downtown and the beach. Properties located on the Pacific side of Cabo are not on a swimmable beach.
This 4 bedroom condo at Marina Sol is within walking distance of Medano Beach and all the action in town. Since it's not right on the beach, it is quieter and a little bit more affordable.
