Westin Cabo San Lucas - a Bold and Colorful Resort

With its bright colors and festive decor—the Westin Cabo San Lucas will make you feel like you've entered a different world. And isn't that the point of vacation— to help you leave your everyday world with all its stressors and frustrations behind?

I'll always remember when my family and I first toured the Westin Regina and were struck by the beauty of surrounds and the architecture of the hotel—bold, contemporary Mexican design with brilliant colors juxtaposed against a serene landscape that is designed to make you take a deep breath, relax your shoulders and utter, "Ah ... "

Westin Cabo San Lucas

Due to the curved shape of the hotel, each room at the 300-room Westin Cabo San Lucas resort has a balcony ocean view, without compromising privacy in any way. Like the exterior of the hotel, the rooms are brightly colored and feature all the amenities you would expect of a five-star hotel: air conditioning, satellite tv, direct dial, telephone, full kitchen with microwave and dishwasher and daily housekeeping. The more expensive suites have their own jacuzzis.

The Westin is located on Playa Buenos Aires Beach (translation: Good Air Beach) approximately fifteen miles outside of Cabo San Lucas in the area known as the Corridor.

The hotel has 5 restaurants, including Las Cascadas, a traditional mexican restaurant, and four areas where you can kick back and order drinks. On the nights you feel like relaxing in your room, the hotel has 24-hour room service.

In terms of activities, the Westin Cabo San Lucas has it all (although some of these activities are off-site): seven swimming pools, hot tubs, lighted tennis courts, a fitness center, horseback riding, snorkeling, diving, golf (the Westin Regina won the 2001 Conde Nast Traveler's 2001 Top Golf Resort award), sportfishing and dinner cruises.

If you're planning a business meeting, wedding or reunion the Westin has meeting rooms that will hold up to 450 people. Rooms for smaller groups are available as well.

Room rates are in the $400-$600 per night range if you travel in season. Lower rates are available for off-peak months. Suites start as just under $1000 per nightl. There is a 12% tax and 10% service charge.
