Mexico Family Vacations - Directory of the Best Mexico Family Vacation Spots
Mexico Family Vacations ... ... Looking for a nice place to take your family on holiday? On this page, our visitors share their experiences and tell us about their favorite places to travel south of the border. Of course, if you've read more than one page on this web site, you know that my favorite spot is Cabo San Lucas and that I've been vacationing here for over twenty years.
What is it that keeps my family coming back? After all, we could mix things up a bit and travel to places like Cancun, Acapulco, Ixtapa, Puerto Vallarta, and more. Well, on this page, I'm going to find a way to express what at times, seems inexpressible ... to capture what it is I love about Los Cabos and then invite you to do the same by creating your own page on this site that tells us where you like to vacation with your family, plus add a favorite photo or short video clip, so together, we can build a directory of the best Mexico Family Vacations that others can reference. So first, let's talk about Cabo San Lucas and why we return year after year. Although the Los Cabos area is beautiful, that's just part of it. There's something in the air—perhaps the caress of the moist, tropical breeze that lulls me into a sense of relaxation that I don't seem to get at home. Then there is the striking mix of tropics and dessert and the rare sight of towering cacti dotting cliffs that slope down to white sand beaches set off by the sparkling turquoise waters of the Sea of Cortez on one side and the towering Sierra de las Laguna mountains on the other.
Or maybe it's the people and culture. My family and I feel safe in Cabo. I have traveled to Mexico while pregnant, with a two-month old baby (and every year as my children grew older) and always felt secure. In the early years, I even had a motorcycle accident while in Cabo and had to be treated at a dirt floor hospital (today, Cabo has a modern hospital like those in the United States), where I was treated with the utmost care. Perhaps, it's the family-first creed of the Mexican people, where children are viewed as the center of family life.
Or maybe it's all the activities. In Cabo, there is so much to do that no one in my family ever gets bored. There is sport fishing, golfing, scuba diving, swimming with the dolphins in Cabo San Lucas, shopping, all kinds of restaurants. You can even go for a relaxing and rejuvenating massage. And if you don't feel like going anywhere, you can hang out on your balcony or read a novel poolside or while sunning on the beach.Okay, so now it's your turn.
