Melia Cabo San Lucas: A Beautiful Hotel Resort Makes for a Great Vacation

Like other hotels that border the white sand beaches of the Sea of Cortez, it offers beautiful views of The Arch (or "El Arco") and Lover's Beach. Unlike other hotels, the Melia boasts the only swimmable beach in Cabo and the highest sand fall in the world (located next to Pelican Rock).

The resort has 108 rooms (at different price levels). Each features an ocean or garden view. Rooms come with a complimentary breakfast, air conditioning, plasma tv, coffee maker, mini bar, morning paper, turn-down service, safe, 24 hour room service, hair dryer, bathrobes and slippers, aromatherapy pillows (provided with suites at certain price levels), and iPod connectivity.

In terms of activities, the Melia offers all kinds of water activities and water sports. There is a pool, two tennis courts, live jazz and dancers on selected days. Of course, the resort is also close to golfing and fishing. Happy Hour is from 11 am to 1 pm every day and on Fridays, it lasts from 6-9 pm. Every Friday there is a pool party with live Cuban music and on Sundays, there is a Fashion Show.

When it comes to food, the Melia Cabo San Lucas has a nice selection. There is the Passion Club Restaurant which offers Mexican Fusion cuisine and the Nikki Beach Restaurant (which caters events) and offers a global cuisine with an American-style barbecue on Saturdays and Sundays. If you want an alcoholic beverage, luxuriate in The Passion Lounge which offers various types of domestic and international spirits, including tequila and martinis. It also has wine tasting and appetizers.

Known for its attention to personal service, the Melia Hotel Cabo San Lucas has a bilingual staff, concierge services, valet parking, in-room spa treatments, internet access, VIP airport pickup service, babysitting and a private lounge called "The Living Room." Some of these services are fee-based.

For those who are looking for a great spot to hold a seminar, wedding or business meeting, the Melia Cabo San Lucas Resort has two state-of-the-art meeting rooms that are close to 1700 square feet in size. Wireless internet access and video conferencing are available. Event catering is handled by the on-site restaurant.
