Map Cabo San Lucas Mexico - A Big View of the Area

<>Map Cabo San Lucas Mexico

Although our map is not drawn to scale, it gives you a big view of the Los Cabos area. As you can see, the region is divided into three parts: San Jose del Cabo: home to the airport and a quaint, peaceful city with cobblestone streets and artisan boutiques, The Corridor, home to many hotel resorts and golf courses and finally, Cabo San Lucas, the happening town at and around the tip of the Baja Peninsula.

Another feature of the Cabo map is that it shows the two highways in this region. Highway 1 traverses the Baja Peninsula from north to south. It is the highway you take to travel from the airport to The Corridor or onward to Cabo San Lucas. It is a paved highway (fifteen years ago, it was dirt) with gas stations and grocery stores along the way.

Highway 19 extends from Medano Beach in Los Cabos towards Todos Santos (home of the Hotel California which was the subject of the popular song by The Eagles). Unlike Highway 1, there are not many gas stations or convenience stores along the way, so make sure to buy some gas and snacks and water before you leave on a trip to Todos Santos. Along Highway 19, you will also see a lot of skinny-looking cows, some which graze fairly close to the highway.

As you can see on the Cabo San Lucas map, this lush tropical region is where two oceans meet—where the Pacific Ocean merges with the Sea of Cortez. This makes for a rice marine habitat and is the reason Cabo is considered the sports fishing capital of the world.

Of course where you have a popular vacation spot, you must have golf. Another reason people travel to Cabo is for the beautiful, championship golf courses. There's nothing like teeing off in paradise.
