Hotel near Marina and downtown Cabo San Lucas

Can you recommend a hotel to stay at near the Marina and downtown Cabo San Lucas. My girlfriend and I are flying down and when our husbands come in from the Baja sailing race, they will stay another week with us.

We are looking for a place that is affordable, at least a 3 star, not too noisy and NOT a hard beds (kills my back).

I have pulled up Tesoro but the reviews are very mixed. Also, I pulled up the Siesta Suites and there are also mixed reviews. There must be tons of hotels in that general area and would you be able to recommend one for us.
