... is a a beautiful place to stay for any traveler who loves to wake up to the sights and sounds of the ocean. The hotel is situated at the tip of the Baja Peninsula and located between the two most popular cities: San Jose del Cabo, known for its tranquil Mexican hospitality and cobblestone streets and Cabo San Lucas, famed for its nightlife and entertainment. Casa del Mar is a small, but luxurious resort. When you first arrive, your senses will immediately be soothed by the views of stunning white sand beaches and the jewel tones of the water in the Sea of Cortez. Casa del Mar Cabo San Lucas

When staying at this hotel, we enjoy its architectural splendor, which was designed in the manner of the Mexican ranch homes of the 1800s. The hotel reflects elements of the classic hacienda with its light adobe walls, brick colored Spanish tiled roof and curving archways. Surrounding the resort is a landscape that is both tranquil and romantic. Palms, yuccas and various succulents are blended with colorful, tropical flowers that heighten the overall beauty of the buildings and courtyard.

I don�t have a favorite room because all of the rooms have views of the ocean and they are all tastefully and comfortably decorated. There are 56 rooms and suites to choose from. Choice of accommodations begin with deluxe rooms with ocean views and these are very cozy. The interiors of these rooms are colorful and relaxing. You will feel at home from the moment you walk in the door.

These ocean view rooms are found both in the main building and in the Casa del Mar building. Those in the Casa del Mar resort offer guests the largest and best view of the ocean. The deluxe rooms in the main building offer views that include both the courtyard and the Sea of Cortez.

The Suites are luxurious and spacious and they are more than twice as large as the deluxe rooms. They come with a bedroom, living room, and private balcony. Some of these rooms are called the Acuario Suites and they offer complete privacy for the occupants. These are located near the main building of the resort and include their own private dining room, as well as a wet bar for guests. The views of the ocean from all of these suites are absolutely spectacular.

Recommendations for Staying at the Casa del Mar Cabo San Lucas

My recommendation for guests who are planning long stays or have families would be one of the luxury suites with full kitchens. At the Casa del Mar Cabo San Lucas, these are the newer rooms and they come in one or two bedroom units. With these rooms, you also enjoy private terraces for your relaxation. There are also private condominiums here that can be rented during your stay. These condominiums include 1-5 bedroom models and you will need to check on availability.

When you come to Casa del Mar Cabo San Lucas you will find many amenities waiting for you. There is great, classic Mexican cuisine at the onsite restaurant, El Tapanco. Guests also have the El Maguey Bar and the Beachside Club for light food and drinks. There are a half dozen swimming pools and several lighted tennis courts for your use and enjoyment.

The resort offers their guests use of an internet office, and a health and fitness room with a completely outfitted gym. The Suenos del Mar is a relaxing and fully equipped spa that offers guests a complete range of relaxing treatments. A beauty salon is found alongside the spa and provides guests with a full line of services.

At the Casa del Mar Cabo San Lucas, you have access to the El Dorado and the Cabo Real golf courses. Guests are even given preferred tee times and round trip transportation from the resort. The Casa del Mar is one of the top 10 resorts in Mexico and Latin America and well deserves this honor.
