Cabo Vacation - Three Top Things to Do on Your Cabo San Lucas Vacation

Getting ready for a Cabo vacation? Ready to have a great time, relax in the sun, go golfing, fishing or shopping? No matter how you plan to spend your time while in Cabo, there are three activities that are not to be missed.

First, you absolutely must have a drink at sunset at the Da Georgio restaurant at Missiones. The view is spectacular—Da Georgio's at Missiones (there is also another Da Georgio's restaurant) sits on a bluff that overlooks the Sea of Cortez and has a view of the Baja Peninsula tip, including the spectacular El Arco (The Arch). Whether you're drinking a limonada (lemonade), sipping a glass of wine or downing a shot of tequila, the spectacular sunset against the tip of the peninsula is unsurpassed. Although my husband and I have tried the food at Da Georgio's several times over the twenty years we've been taking our Cabo vacation, we've never been particularly impressed with it, so we usually go for drinks and an appetizer. It's a yearly ritual that we look forward to.

Below is a photo of the view from Da Georgio's:

Second, your Cabo vacation must include a shopping trip to Puerto Paraiso. Even if you don't care much for shopping, this three story mall is a fun place to spend a couple of hours or the entire day. Located at the marina, there are a variety of restaurants to choose from, everything from Johnny Rockets to traditional mexican food and even sushi. There is a movie theater which offers films in english and spanish. Then there are the boutiques and stores which sell everything from art to cigars to books, purses and clothing. If you're a clothes horse, you'll love the unique selection of upscale casual attire. If you have kids, you'll want to stop by Recorcholis on the third floor which is a huge arcade and bowling alley. (Below is a photo of my husband playing one of the boxing games at the arcade)

The third must-see activity on your Cabo vacation is a trip to Cabo Wabo —Sammy Hagar's infamous restaurant and nightclub. If you have children, go during the day and enjoy the delectable selection of food at the restaurant. If it's just the two of you for the evening, go to the nightclub. There's great music, dancing and a bar stocked full of specialty tequilas. Between the ambience, the food and drink and the hospitable service, you're sure to have the time of your life.
