Cabo San Lucas Solmar Beach

To get to Cabo San Lucas Solmar Beach, you round the Baja tip which means you're on the Pacific Ocean side. The access from the street is via Boulevard Marina in downtown Cabo San Lucas. Solmar Beach extends from the west-facing tip to the Pedregal (a beautiful community of luxurious homes) and is home to four top-notch Cabo San Lucas beach resorts: the Solmar, TerraSol Beach Resort, Hotel Finisterra and the Playa Grande Resort.

Solmar Beach is located within walking distance of downtown Cabo San Lucas. Great for those who like to enjoy the beach atmosphere with a need to go swimming in the water. From January to March, whale watching is a popular and fun activity.


Although this is a beautiful beach, don't be fooled by its charms. Solmar Beach is not for swimming and is definitely not recommended for parents who want to play with their children near the surf. The Pacific side of Los Cabos is known for crashing waves, rip tides, a strong undertow and sudden drop-offs not far from shore. If a gentle surf is what you're looking for, splash in the waters of Medano Beach.
