One of the oldest Cabo San Lucas nightlife spots is the Giggling Marlin Bar & Grille located in downtown Cabo. At the Giggling Marlin, you can order authentic mexican cuisine or American fare (if you're craving a cheeseburger and french fries, you'll find a decent version here) and a shot from the tequila bar. The Giggling Marlin can get a little wild. When things heat up, you'll usually find a tourist hanging upside down, just like a marlin when it is weighed and measured. (That's why the marlin is giggling!) This makes a perfect photo of a crazy night on the town.Another longtime favorite of Cabo San Lucas nightlife is El Squid Roe which typically appeals to the younger crowd. The waiters at this bar and restaurant carry around spray bottles of tequila and spray the burning liquid right down your throat. Talk about a way to catch a quick buzz.
Probably the most widely known Cabo San Lucas night life hangout is Sammy Hagar's Cabo Wabo Cantina. Like the Hard Rock Cafe, there is often live entertainment. The cantina is full of Hagar's memorabilia and even has a gift store on the premises so you can bring back souvenirs for all your friends. If you like to party, but prefer something more familiar, try the Hard Rock Cafe. Located inside the Plaza Bonita Mall, there is loud music and good eats for those who wax nostalgic on rock and roll. Specialty drinks are very popular here and you can drink them late into the night. A live band plays old time rock and roll favorites six nights per week.
