Club Cascadas de Baja
This is the Cabo San Lucas Mexico hotel where my family and I stay when we go to Mexico. I know Cascadas de Baja intimately because we've owned a timeshare there since 1986. Built by renown architect, Paul Giddings, the circular villas are open and spacious, yet private, nestled between palms and lush tropical foilage that dot the cobbled path that winds through the resort. The club resort has a "fantasy island" feel to it that will help even the most high-strung person to relax.
The club has two pools, a beachside bar and restaurant, a club house with large screen t.v.'s for viewing news, sports events and adult and children's movies. (There are no phones or t.v.s in the rooms). The clubhouse also has a pool table and a large collection of books and board games. There are two lighted tennis courts and volleyball on the beach.
The club features daily activities, including classes on making authentic guacamole and fun things for kids to do. The front desk is open twenty-four hours per day and offers phone and fax services and a currency exchange.
Babysitting is available for an extra fee. There is also a beauty salon where you can get your hair done or a deep tissue massage. The workout room has free weights, machines, stationery bikes and treadmills.
If you run out of something, Club Cascadas de Baja has a mini-mart and a small boutique. The club is a quick ten minute walk from town.
