Cabo San Lucas Map - Big View Map of Los Cabos

A Cabo San Lucas map will help make your vacation a lot more enjoyable. Before traveling to any new destination, it helps to get the lay of the land, so you'll recognize major landmarks and become familiar with the historic sites you want to visit. This way, you can fit in trips to interesting places and make sure to plan something fun for each person who is going on your trip.

Consulting a Cabo San Lucas map before making your hotel reservations is a must—most people don't know that Los Cabos is divided into three areas—San Jose del Cabo, the quaint, historic town with cobblestone streets where the airport is located, The Corridor which extends along that land that stretches from the outskirts of San Jose del Cabo to the beginning of the Baja tip and Cabo San Lucas which has stunning views of The Arch at the tip of the Baja Peninsula and is host to the marina and all the action of downtown.

One thing to consider while staying in Los Cabos is that taxi fares are quite expensive, so our recommendation is to "stay where you play." In other words, book a hotel that is close to the activities you want to do. If money is no object, of course, then you don't need to worry about it, but if you're like most of us, you'll want to take this advice into consideration.

If sport fishing is your thing, stay close to the marina. The Hacienda Hotel Cabo San Lucas , with its old style charm is within walking distance of the marina. Additionally, you'll be close to all the downtown shops, sports bars, restaurants, cantinas and nightclubs. Other possibilites are Pueblo Bonito and the Melia.

For those who are looking for a getaway and are not necessarily interested in mixing with the townspeople or learning about the culture, staying at a hotel along The Corridor offers a relaxing respite from the busy world. Some lovely places to stay are the Riu Palace or the Villa La Estancia.

This is a great area for golfers or for anybody who just wants to revel in a paradise of sapphire waters and turquoise skies. Of course, you should plan to take one day and go shopping at the new mall in downtown Cabo (Puerto Paraiso) or at the many boutiques that line the downtown streets. You'll also want to dine at one of the many fine restaurants, as you may tire of eating at your hotel/resort. To determine where you want to go and what you want to do, you'll pull out your trusty Cabo San Lucas street map.

Although a map does not reveal much about the warmth and hospitality of the Mexican people, our video offers a glimpse.

That's my husband getting into the bici-taxi with one of my children and then talking with the Huichol Indian who makes the lovely beaded skulls that celebrate The Day of the Dead.

If you want to stay in a rustic area with cobblestone streets, friendly shopkeepers and historic sites, San Jose del Cabo may be your best bet. Smaller and more intimate that Cabo San Lucas, this is a lovely little town, full of curio shops, open restaurants and boutiques with pieces created by local artisans and goods from mainland Mexico.

Stay tuned for our Cabo San Lucas map of city streets and hotel locations along the Corridor and in San Jose that you will be able to print from your computer and take with you on your trip. Feel free to print a copy of the hotel locations in Cabo San Lucas.
