Cabo Pulmo - Relax in this Quaint Mexican Village

Cabo Pulmo is located along the east cape of Baja California Sur on the Sea of Cortez approximately 60 miles north of Cabo San Lucas (or 40 miles north of San Jose del Cabo). If you're looking for a quiet atmosphere in which to relax and enjoy the environment, then this is the place for you.

This village is an outdoor lover's paradise. Here you'll find scuba diving, snorkeling, surfing, kayaking, fishing, biking and much more. Known for its white sand beaches, the town is easily accessible from the coastal highway.

If scuba or snorkeling is your activity of choice, you'll be excited to know that Cabo Pulmo has the only hard coral reef in the Sea of Cortez (and one of only three in all of North America). Here you will see beautiful fish, some of which are not found anywhere else. The reef is easy to get to from the shore and best underwater visibility (60-100 ft) occurs from March through October. You can't fish the reef (it is protected), however you can enjoy the underwater view or snap some photographs. Save a few for taking pictures of the wreck dive near the cape, where a fishing boat sank many years ago. Although it was just a tuna boat, wreck diving is fun.

Cabo Pulmo Accomodation - Cabo Pulmo Bungalow

There are many quaint places to stay that are located along on the beach. Try one of the resorts or a privately owned rental. Some of our favorite places include Cabo Pulmo Casas, Cabo Pulmo Village or Villa and Casa del Mar. Bungalows start as low as $60 per night.

Some favorite restaurants to dine at when staying in Cabo Pulmo, Mexico include El Caballero, Tito's and La Palapa. The village has one general store.
