When flying into Cabo, you will land in San Jose del Cabo, a quaint little city northeast of Cabo which has lots of shopping and eateries. San Jose is the capital of the Southern part of the Baja Peninsula. If you're destination is Cabo San lucas, simply take Highway 1 south to Cabo which is about an hour drive, depending upon whether your hotel is located along the Corridor (the stretch of land between the two cities) or in Cabo.

Be sure to visit Todos Santos which is a scenic two-hour drive from the heart of Cabo San Lucas along Highway 19. Todos Santos is where the Hotel California (made famous by the Eagles' song of the same name) is located. There is shopping and fine restaurants. You can also continue north toward the city of La Paz which is known for its shopping district.

Another noteworthy place on the Cabo San Lucas map is the city of Buena Vista, which is situated along the beach. Years ago, it was the hot spot for sports fishing, although now, Cabo is probably the favorite of anglers around the world.
